I brought some challah and apples and honey to the radio station tonight to celebrate the Rosh Hashanah!! ✡ I always love sharing with Pat and and explaining about the High Holidays. L'Shana TovA! 🥳
This time of the year is always extra magical to me since I got leukemia in 2019. I was in the hospital during Rosh Hashanah and Rabbis came to visit me and blow the Shofar at the hospital. Rabbi Taff also sent me a beautiful prayer blessing. On Rosh Hashanah I got the news the leukemia had been put in remission and my numbers were looking great and I would be able to return home after my month long stay in the hospital!! I still had 8 more months of daily infusions of chemotherapy to ensure the leukemia would stay away but it was the best news lf my life!! And to recieve that news during Rosh Hashanah was such an incredible blessing.
I was in a very dark place after Cisco passed away... and then getting cancer a week later..
But after everything I went through, all the prayers from my loved ones, the blessing of the Shofar in the hospital and being told the leukemia was now gone during the time of Rosh Hashanah?? my faith in HaShem was completely restored and I truly understood in that moment how incredibly blessed I am. Each year since then has been getting sweeter and sweeter 😊 I'm just out here livin that apples n honey life, baby!! and spreading love and kindness and sweetness everywhere I go! 🍏🍯✡
Happy New Year!! 🥳
